Autobots, Re-Rollout!
So last year, I’d finally finished crocheting and assembling a multi-coloured Autobot pixel art graphghan. (That I’d been planning for… 3 years? I think?)
I had made one before (way back in 2020!) with the logo colour being all red.
That one was done entirely in 2 row granny squares (600 of them!!) so I’d decided to try cutting corners with the way I made squares. Making larger squares (such as the two 10 row squares in the bottom corners in place of 25 2 row squares).
I also made the decision to made strips instead of rows of black squares… unfortunately, when the blanket was done, I hated the strips.
I also hated the way I’d sewn it all together but, by October 2025, I’d already put together half of it when I decided that so I just went with it and hoped I’d like it when it was done. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t, but I left it anyway.)
Fast forward to July 2026… I still hated both those things. So I began the arduous task of unpicking the entire thing. As well as re-crocheting all the strips into squares.
And so, began the reconstruction of the blanket.
I’m almost finished reassembling the blanket using a join-as-you-go method that I like much better than sewing in the back loops only.
This has been a thing.
